Whoops I did it again....!

Well in typical Michelle time honoured fashion, the clumsy curse has struck once again!

Yes - I still appear to be plagued by the 7 years bad luck associated with breaking mirrors! I only hope that I survive it, or at least with most my limbs intact!

So, last night, en route out of the kitchen with a glass of water, my right knee (never the same since my ice skating incident) decides to take a wee break, but not give the rest of my body advance notice!

This leads to Michelle hitting the deck like a sack of spuds, and if that was not enough, on the way down my head made contact with the breakfast bar.

Ouch!

***Newsflash***

Hullo -

Wow -what a hectic few months it has been! I has not realised it was so long since I last blogged! To those who are cheering that I am back I hug and kiss you, for those who now have frowny faces, I stick my tongue out at you!

Well, what have I been up to you may ask?

I am finally (Well as my defunct body will ever let me be!), back at work, on the way to being as normal as I ever am!!

As briefly mentioned in the previous update, I have a new job, same company but new department, looking forward to the challenges and meeting of the new people.

I have also been hard at work with my alter ego, Milliebeanz, making loops and having a great time working with some of the best names in the VJ business - Blend Visuals.

On the creative side, I recently took part in The Knowledge at The Core at Corby Cube and seveal Lyric Lounges. I promise more bloggage to come on these events!

And finally...

It is a year to the day that I met my special someone, who has changed my life for the better, to you I say thank you.

Guess What I've Done? ....again!

Hey!

I am pretty sure that the 7 years bad luck thing is coming true! Either that or I really the most clumsy person on the planet! Or forbid... BOTH?

April has been the most busiest of months... although I do feel guilty that my new employer has hardly seen me! Or maybe that's a blessing in disguise? lol

I managed to contract a really nasy kidney / bladder infection! The first set of antibiotics failed to do anything...so several days after the initial visit to the GP I woke up in the middle of the night in absolute agony!

Firstly, I tried to get back to sleep, and snuggled closer to Mancat.. nope, didn't work.

Secondly, I took some Nuofen (I know, I know..) went downstairs for a bit to see if worked. Nope.

Thirdly, tried to wake said Mancat, nope.

Fourthly, the cats tried to wake Mancat, nope.

Fifthly, borrowed Mancat's iphone, searched symptons on NHS Direct, as by this time I was pretty sure I was dying, or at least well on the way! The advice was to go the A&E dept. B*gger!

Sixthly, decided that as I was due to go for a blood test in a few hours, would go downstairs, curl up in front of the fire and try and sit it out.

Seventhly, fell down the stairs!

DOH!

In my defence, I was not intending to fall down the stairs, I was already in enough pain. On the plus side, it awoke the Mancat from hibernation!

Having snuck downstairs in the most quietest of manners I realised I was cold. So, I went back upstairs to get the spare duvet. The TV remote must have been lost in the folds, as I heard something fall.

At no point did it occur to me to turn the hall lights one. As they would not have woken the other occupants up!

Snuggled down in the duvet, in front of the fire, I try to turn the TV on to catch up on saved programmes, this is when the TV decides that it is going to stop working!

Damn.

Once again I sneak upstairs to retrieve my book. On the way down the stairs I slip on.. yep.. you guessed it! The missing remote control!!! Ouch!

Mancat wakes up, and the conversation goes along the lines of...

MANCAT : That you Babe?
ME: Yep
MANCAT: You ok?
ME: Err.. Yeah!
MANCAT: What you done?
ME: Stairs!
MANCAT: For F*cks sake!

The upshot is that I get took to the local A&E, try to explain why I am there, as well as that they should ignore the rapidly blossoming bruises! Well after a week of morphine (Which I miss - lol), hospital food and kindles I am back home. The infection seems to have all but gone, waiting to find out if my spleen has returned to normal size...

Oh & Adhesions! Which were the cause of the pain in the first instance! The irony is that removing them, can lead to more!

& On that bombshell while I workout what to do.. here is some more info on this silent but very common, not quite understood problem!

**By the way - due to the amount of opiates I am currently on (Pretty sure I rattle) - -I am not responsible for any bad spellings, grammer, gramma or suchlike!

70 Days and Counting

My name is Millie and I'm a driver-holic. Its been 70 days since I was last behind the wheel of a car.

At this point I feel I should be having lots of hugs...

... and lots of hearty pats on the back with several 'Well Done's'.

The next step I believe is to apologise to those that I have:
- Cut up
- Undertook
- Honked at
- Swore at
- Made gestures at

However as I am such the good driver I am, then I believe wholeheartedly that each and every gesture, and manoeuvre was fully justified - besides they was in my way!

So at this point am I still in the denial phase?

Basically - And a warning here of a very bad pun - which is not intended!

Basically its driving me mad! Stark raving!

Hopefully though in the next week I shall get the all clear from the medical peeps, as I have already decided I am fixed! I mean a slight limp can be sexy? Non? <-- adopt slight french accent for the 'non'!

Just need to buy a wee motor... Think my chances are good for an Aston Martin for under £500? (not a matchbox one!!!)

Opps I Did it Again!

Nope - not a badly sung Britney song,, although that has happened recently!

What I am referring to is I have managed, yet again to break myself! And in slightly more style than usual & totally my own fault!

In my defence there are numerous factors involved:

1) It was Icy
2) I was wearing heels - very nice heels I may add!
3) I am me - see previous posts re- accident pronement and the 'mirror' incident!
4) I may have had a drink or 2!

These combined led to an excellent display of Millie face diving into some concrete. I am sure that I would have been awarded full marks if there had been any judges - (Can you get judges? Or is there even an event?)

I also managed to find the only puddle in Leicester that had not turned to ice - thus leaving me shivering - at this point I had somehow managed to lose my jacket!

So, there I am, lying there, freezing cold, in a puddle, in the middle of the road, feeling my cheeks reddening. And, I hear a noise - not the noise of someone coming to help me up! Nope the sounds, were of applause!

Anyway the outcome of this event was torn cartilage in my knee! Whoops!

Merry New Year!

Ola!

Merry New Christmas, happy festive year & all that jazz!

I'm back & nearly in one piece (More to come on that later!)

Today I was thinking back on the world of Bloggdom, I even got as far as congratulating myself for completing almost one post a month, in fact some months more and only missed one month!

Looked at the date and thought that if I was going to keep the momentum up then today seemed as good as time as any. In fact so, so much has gone on that I could once again write the uber blog!

However, as the eagle eye'd amongst you, and well even those who aren't, I completely failed to blog at all during December! There is also no good excuse at all for this as I spent a good few weeks laid up in bed with nothing to do!

The reason why deserves a whole post all to it's self. I would not want to deprive you of the awesomeness of the story! Or save me the embarrassment.

Suffice to say, I shall once again attempt this year to keep it up! Blogging that is!
